India is a country with a vast range of ideas. There is no way to describe or write down the importance of these things. 

The scientists of ancient India are one of the most well-known figures in Indian history. The scientists of the Vedic period were considered some of the most accomplished thinkers of their time. They had inventions ranging from the invention of the wheel to the development of mathematics, astronomy, health, geology, etc. Many of these discoveries were subsequently adopted by other cultures. Indian scientific texts are written in Sanskrit or Vedic script.


In this article, I want to write about some scientists from ancient India. This will help you to acquire knowledge about the sciences of ancient India.


Baudhayana



Lifeline of Baudhayana about 800 BC - 740 BC. He has expressed several concepts of mathematics. He is considered the main mathematician behind the Pythagorean theorem. The value of pi was calculated by him which is found in the Sulva Sutra written by Baudhayana.


Aryabhata



Period 476 BC to 550 BC. Aryabhata is considered to be a mathematician, astronomer, astrologer, and physicist. He wrote Aryabhattiya. In this book, he discovered a method of denoting large decimal numbers by alphabet and methods for number theory, geometry, trigonometry, and algebra. Which finds the solution to current mathematics. He discovered the Zero which enabled him to find out the exact distance between the Sun and Moon.


Brahmagupta

Brahmagupta was a mathematician and astronomer of ancient India who lived between 598 CE and 668 CE. He introduced negative numbers and operations on zero in mathematics. He wrote Brahma, a Sputa Siddhantika through which the Arabs came to know our mathematical system.


Bhaskaracharya

He was born in 1114 AD at Bijapur in Karnataka. His book Siddhanta Shiromani is divided into four parts: Lilavati (Mathematics), Algebra (Algebra), Spherical (Sphere), and Planetary (the planets). Bhaskar introduced the Chakravat method or cyclic method for algebraic solutions to the equations. He died in 1185 AD.


Varahamihira

Varahamihira was born in 505 AD, in Ujjain. He was an astronomer, astronomer, and mathematician of ancient India. He received his education in Kapittaka. His great contributions in the fields of hydrology, geology, and ecology. He wrote the Brihat Samhita. He died in 587 AD.


Kanad

The lifespan of Kanad was about 450–1200 AD. Kanada was a scientist of one of the Vaisheshika schools in India  His original name was Aulukya. According to Kanad, the material universe is made up of kanas, (atom) which cannot be seen through any human organ. He proposes that an atom (atom) is an indestructible particle of matter.


India's culture is a culture of discovery since ancient times. Evidence of this can be found in them scriptures written at different times. This article shows that the scientists of ancient India were skilled in various sciences like astronomy, mathematics, biology, geology, etc.
